Day 2

Tuesday

Today a few other girls from our cabin, along with Natalie I, decided to wake up at 6:00 in the morning to go fishing. It was fun getting to ride the boat out in the middle of the lake in the cool morning breeze. Natalie and I didn't catch anything however. =P After we were done fishing, we got back just in time for a delicious breakfast of pancakes and syrup! Shortly after breakfast was over, it was time for the girls to have morning chapel while the boys headed out to the lake. All throughout the week our study was of 1st John. Then we swapped, and the girls went out to the lake while the boys had their morning chapel. The lake was the best! We got to ride the taco, which was a four person tube that was shaped like a taco. It was super fun!! The rest of day was awesome as well. Lunch and dinner were scrumptious, the evening service was wonderful, and the rollerblading at night was magical! 

Lovely camp days!

Hey there!! It's Sarah :) and I'm going to be posting about Camp Anchorage! It was an overnight camp that lasted for a week, and it was a wonderful experience! Each day, I will be posting about each day of camp..so today is day 1.

Monday
It was a 2 hour drive up to Lake Waccamaw, where camp anchorage was, but time went by quickly. Natalie and I listened to music, talked, and played hang man. It was quite an exciting ride. When we finally got there, our counselor came out and led Natalie and I inside the white building and up the hidden staircase until we got to our little bunk room. Pretty soon, the 4 other girls who were staying in the same bunk room arrived, and our counselor gave us a short tour around the camp.
That first day of camp was filled with excitement! Dinner that night consisted of spaghetti and delicious bread. After dinner was the evening service where we all had to dress in skirts and dresses. The worship hymns were lovely and the guest speaker was amazing! After that we had free time and the gym was open for those who wanted to skate/roller blade, and the snack shack was opened. So, Natalie and I decided roller blade. Natalie had never done it before, so it was quite a funny experience! :) I loved though!! A little while later we headed back to our bunk room and did our nightly devotions. And finally around 11:30..the lights finally went out, and we huddled down in our cozy bunks and fell asleep. :)

Part 6/ A Sympathetic Friend

Hey girls! Lindsey and Charlotte here to talk about being a sympathetic friend and what it means to be one! A sympathetic friend is someone that really cares about you and your feelings! Someone that is happy when you are and feels bad for you when you are sad! A sympathetic friend is someone that you can always count on to be there for you whenever you need them no matter what you are going through or however hard it might be they are always there to comfort you and make you feel better! Even though they might not be going through the same things you are and they might not understand it doesn't matter to them they still are there for you and help you through!! Sympathetic friends are often times your best friends because they are the true friends that always feel for you! Symathetic friends always stick with you and never leave no matter how difficult you are or what you are dealing with in life they will always choose to be there for you! We hope that reading this helps you realize if you havent been a very sympathetic friend but remember its never to late to be one!

Part 5 / It's ok to have imperfections

Hey! Lindsey and Charlotte again and today we will be talking about being different or as we like to say  having imperefections! Sometimes people think that it is weired to have imperfections but the truth is every single person has some kind of imperfection its just that for some people they are more obvious than others! And sometimes people like Charlotte with more obvious imperfections let other people or people that are not true friends lead her to believe that she is weired for having more obvious imperfections than they do! But don't let people make you think that because if they do than they don't know what some of us have been through! Just because you might not look just like they do or be able to do all the stuff they can just like they can doesnt mean you are weired it just means that means that you have a harder time doing certain things! I am sure that if they out themselves in your shoes they would understand exactly how you are feeling and what you are going through!! But a true friend will always love you no matter what you look like or if you can't do stuff just like them they won't care they will love you for you! A true friend doesn't care about your outside apperance  they just care about the inside! Although a true friend doesnt know exactly what you are going through they still try their hardest to understand but always are there for you and comfort you in the hardest of times! Part 4 / A Loyal Friend

Hello dear readers! Lindsey and Charlotte back again! We are going to talk about what it is to be a loyal friend! Being loyal is one of the characteristics you should definitely look for in a friend because if something happens, or if you move away from your friend, you would want to keep your friendship! That is only possible if you know how to be a loyal friend! So what exactly is a loyal friend? An easy definition of a loyal friend is one who looks at the inside of a person, and at their heart; not at the outside! So many people get caught up looking at the outside of a person because that's where the beauty lies. But does it really? Well, that's where the outside beauty--the physical beauty--is seen. People forget that the most important beauty lies on the inside! It's the inner beauty! It's the beauty that truly matters! Even though some people really are beautiful on the outside, and it may look as if they have not a single thing wrong with them, there is always something wrong! Nobody is perfect, so every single person has something wrong with them! It's a fact of life! Sometimes, other people's imperfections are harder to notice than others, but that doesn't mean they don't have them! A loyal friend could care less about the imperfections of their friend! A loyal friend will stand by their friend's side through thick and thin! A loyal friend will stick up for their friend no matter what!

So if you feel like you have not been a loyal friend to some of your friends, it isn't too late to apologize! It's never too late to become a loyal friend! :)

Part 3 / An Honest Friend

Hey Lindsey and Charlotte here to continue our series posts on friendship! Today we will be talking about what it means to be an honest friend! An honest friend will always tell you when something is wrong and not hold anything back! An honest friend also will point out what you are doing wrong, but be willing to forgive you! An honest friend will always listen to what you are going through, and give you their opinion to try and help you through it! Although an honest friend is never afraid to share their opinion no matter what it is, they still try and tell you in a loving way so that they do not hurt your feelings! An honest friend is a good friend because they won't hold back and always tell the truth! An honest friend sets an example to everyone of how we should act toward all of our friends because our friends deserve the best from us all the time! You see, honesty is the key to a long friendship! If your friend is doing something that annoys you, but you don't tell them, your friendship could be ruined because you wouldn't want to hang out with an annoying friend! But if you are, indeed, an honest friend, you would tell them nicely so that they can improve, and the friendship between the both of you will last! Friendships that lack honesty are friendships that will not last long, so be honest with your friends! We hope that this post changes how you act with your friends and that this post will really speak to you!

A Sweet Sixteen

Hey there! Today, it's just Lindsey posting about a sweet sixteen birthday party I went to! Kylie was the new sixteen year old, and she invited a total of 5 friends to come and celebrate the special moment with her! The theme was Alice in Wonderland//Through the Looking Glass, so all of the guests had to dress up as much as they could like the characters from the movie! A friend of mine (who was also invited to the party) emailed me and asked if we could go to the party dressed as Tweedledee and Tweedledum! So, of course, I said yes!

The party was a real success and a total blast!!! We had a tea party, attempted to eat 97 cupcakes, and took lots of pictures! They were mostly on Kylie's camera, so I don't have as many! haha. 

After our tea party and pictures, we decided to walk around the neighborhood to get some exercise and see what people thought of us in our crazy costumes! So we made it to the pool, and this pizza guy drives slowly by, and all of a sudden, one of the girls shouts, "Hey! The pizza is for us!" And the rest of us didn't know what on earth she was trying to do, because the pizza was not for us!! But as soon as the girl said that, the pizza guy pulled into a parking place, so she darted into the women's bathroom! And we all awkwardly followed her in! We finally came out 6 minutes later, and he was gone, but it was so weird!!

When we made it home, it was getting dark, and starting to rain, so we all went upstairs to the third floor and got on our pajamas! We hung out and chatted for a little while, and listened/danced around to music!! Then we all settled down and began watching the Alice movie! It was a great movie, and everyone but my friend stayed awake throughout the whole thing! :) But lucky her--she was the only one who actually got some sleep! lol! Soon after the movie, we all went to sleep, too, and in the morning, my mom came and picked me and my friend up so we could go home!! It had been a wonderful sweet sixteenth birthday party, and I am so glad Kylie invited me to come and celebrate with her!!

A Fun Sleepover

Hey girls! Charlotte here to talk about a sleepover that I had with my friend Kate on Friday night! Kate lives in Philadelphia so I don't get to see her hardly at all! We have known eachother since we were about 2 years old and so that is about 8 years! So when she arrived at my house we visited and then after a little while had pizza for dinner! After dinner we played lots of different card games and board games which was so fun! We eventually went upstairs to get in bed but we ended up staying up really late talking and catching up with eachother and we ended up sleeping in untill about 11:00AM and then my parents made yummy pancakes for us! Then we got to watch a movie together before we met up with her parents to drop her off! I had so much fun getting together with her and visiting with her and I hope that I get to see her again soon!

Part 2/ A Loving Friend

Lindsey and Charlotte here again today and this time we are talking about what it is to be a loving friend! A loving friend really cares about your feelings and does their best to make you feel good! A loving friend loves you no matter what and is always willing to forgive you! A loving friend knows when something is wrong without you even saying anything! A loving friend will do whatever they can to restore your friendship! A loving friend will always take the blame even when it wasn't their fault! A loving friend doesn't care about your outward apperance but only looks at the heart! Around your friends you shouldn't have to be something you aren't or have to act cool around them but be yourself and if they don't like you for who you are than they are missing out on one of the best friends they could have! And if they are treating you differently than their other friends just because you might have imperfections on the outside that are more obviouse than some people than maybe they arent your true friends! Because our imperfections are what makes us different if none of us had imperfections than we we would all just be the same! We shouldn't have to worry about are we good enough to be friends with them because in a world that keeps score you would be the winner just because you were your true self and thats all that should matter! The most important thing to remember is that when God looks at you he doesn't see a girl full of imperfections but he see's a beautiful,  strong girl, that is worth more than gold and THAT is all that matters! So we hope that next time you have someone trying to tell you you aren't good enough that  you will remember that God thinks you are beautiful, strong, and worth more than gold!

Friendship

Hey! Today Charlotte and Lindsey are going to be talking about friendship. Friendship is more than just being willing to do the big things for your friends, but more importantly, being willing to do the little things for them! Friendship is being an encourager and pushing one another to do things to the best of their ability. A true friend looks past the outside imperfections and into the heart! Have you ever had that one friend who is always annoying and gets on your nerves? And don't you hate it when that one girl is always talking about her best friend in front of you? When people do it to us it just doesn't feel good. Good friend. An honest friend will always tell you when something is bothering them! So if you are reading this and are having problems with a friend, we hope reading this post helps cure your relationship! A true friend should always try to reunite a friendship!

One Last Post

Hey whats up! Charlotte here to do one last post before I go on a trip to visit my Grandparents who live near Ashville NC and then will be going straight from my grandparents to Sarah and Lindsey's grandparents lake house for an overnight stay! Part 2 My Trip to Swansboro

Hey everyone Charlotte again to talk about the rest of my trip! So the day after the practicum I stayed at the house and got to sleep in while my mom went back to help at the practicum! I had a lot of fun playing board games and card games with the Robert Jr. and playing with Ace! Later that night when my mom got home we turned on the Olympics while Robert and I played games! My favorite part of the Olympics is the gymnastics! They are so fun to watch! The next day again I got to stay home and sleep in then play lots of games we got to play Wii games which we really fun! I wasn't very good at them though! But I still had a lot of fun trying it! That night we got to go out with some people to dinner and then we went shopping which was SO fun! But when we got home we were all super tired 'cause it was pretty late! The next day when we got up we got our bathing suits on and headed out to the beach for the day! We got out to the beach at about 2:00 and stayed till about 5:00! Although I loved the beach and it was really fun I think my favorite part was the getting back to the house and taking a shower to get all the sand off!! That night we had to say goodbye 'cause we would be having to get up very early the next morning! We got up at about 6:00 and then went on our way to pick up Natalie and Sarah from camp! I was SO happy to see them! I missed them SO SO much! In the car on the way back home we got to hear all about it! When we got back to the house Sarah got to stay and hangout for a little while before her parents came to pick her up! We spent most of that time doing push-ups! It was hard but it was fun! I think we ended up doing about 155 of them hahha! We had so much fun hangingout together! I can't wait for everyone to hear all about the camp that Sarah and Natalie went to! But I hope everyone enjoyed hearing all about my trip to Swansboro!!

Part 1 My Trip to Swansboro

Hey! Charlotte here to talk about my trip to Swansboro to do another practicum! We left a day early 'cause we were going to stay with some friends of ours and so we left a day early to get to hangout with them before the practicum! The day we left was the day that Sarah and Natalie left for camp! I really missed them while they were gone but it seems lilke they had a lot of fun so I was happy for them!! So it was about a 2 or 3 hour drive to Swansboro and we arrived around 6! Shortly after we arrived we were fixed a yummy dinner! (the mom is like a gourmet cook!) After we got settled and had dinner we just visited and played games and the son Robert Jr. is an AMAZING piano player so he played some songs for us!! They have a dog named Ace he is a black lab and he is SO cute and sweet!! He used to be a thearapy dog so he is really well behaved (at least more than my dog is) The next morning we got up super duper early I think it was like 6:30 to go to the church for the practicum which started at 9:00 but we had to be there by 8:00 since it was the first day! So I helped with the 3-5 year olds like I always do 'cause they are SO fun to play with and SO cute!! We had about 28 kids so it was a full class but luckily we had 5 people helping so it worked out well! We split it into 2 groups so that was much easier to handle!! We played a lot of Play-Doh (which got EVERYWHERE!) And then I got to be one of the people who cleaned it all up fun fun! We also got to play on the play ground a bunch which was really nice 'cause then they got to run off some of their energy! Right before everybody went to lunch we watched a movie! Also really nice 'cause they had to sit still! And then it was pretty much the same in the afternoon! After the practicum we went back to the house where we just got to relax for awhile! I will do another post about the rest of the trip tomorrow but I hope all of you liked this post!

A Fun Day

Hey everyone! Charlotte here! Today I will be talking about a really fun get together I had with one of my bestfriends Marida! I went over to her house at about 2:00PM 'cause my mom had to drive my older brother back to collage and my sister wanted to go too but I din't so I went to her house instead!!  Anyways shortly after I got there we started working on writting a story for school and it took about three hours 'cause we kept having to change the topic but we finally decided on the day that I got to meet Scotty McCreery! For those of you who don't know who that is he is a country music singer who lives in the same town I do! (which is the town of Garner) Anyways after we finally managed to come up with the whole story we did a little more school but after about 45 minutes we went to go get dinner and frozen yogurt! It was my first time ever having frozen yogurt but I really liked it! By the time we finished the yogurt we were VERY full!!! On the way home we started singing to country music songs on the radio!! (so fun) Then when we got back we listend to even more country music!! You can probabley tell that we REALLY like country music!!! Shortly after that my mom came to pick me up ): I was sad to have to leave but I really hope we can do it again soon!!!

Movie Night

Hey! Charlotte again here to talk about the movie night that we had last night with our church!! Yesterday we got to the peoples house at about 3:30 (earlier than everyone else) so that we could have dinner with them and play a board game called Risk which takes a LONG time!!! And we didnt even get to finish the game but we got about half-way through! Sadly I didn't win!! But I didn't care I still had an awesome time!! After the game we went outside into the peoples backyard where we were going to watch the movie "Up" but unfortunately after we got about 20 minutes into it it started to rain so we all ran as fast as we could into the house!! We got to visit for a little while but we left right when the rain stopped so we didn't have to get into the car in the pouring rain! Then on the way home we had to stop at Walmart to get some stuff for my older brother Wesley who was going back to collage the next day (today) by the time we got home it was pretty late so i went straight into my bedroom to go to sleep!! Despite the rain it was a pretty awesome night!!

A Busy Week

Hey everyone! It's Charlotte here again. Today I thought I would post about a practicum that I went to this week for my Co-op! It was in Pinehurst and it was a 3 day practicum! My family and I all helped with it and I got to help with the 3-5 year olds which was SO much fun!! The guy that led the camp that i helped with and his sister stayed with us during those days because they live in Greensboro! It was awesome to have them stay with us we all had a lot of fun together!!! For the first day I had to stay home 'casue I had some stuff to do! But the 2nd day I got up at 6:300 AM!! But luckily I slept most of the way!! Once the kids started arriving we got to do alot of coloring and Play-Doh (which was alot of fun!!) and then after awhile we went outside to the playground where it was extreamly hot!! So we only stayed out for about 15 minutes 'cause all the kids were saying they wanted to go inside since it was so hot!! At 12:00 all the kids got picked up and then we all got to have a little break to eat lunch but then after an hour it was time to head back to the classroom before all the kids started arriving again!! At the end of the day right before the kids parents came back to get them  we got to watch a movie!! After the practicum finished that day we had to go to the orthodontist where my sister Natalie and I found out we would have to get braces in September!! Then when we finally arrived at home my dad and brother and the guy who stayed with us named Grayson went to play basketball while us girls stayed home and played card games and visited!! Then yesterday morning once again we got up at 6:30 and drove to the church where we were having the practicum for the last day of it!! One of the other helpers and I had a blast chasing eachother around trying to mark eachother with markers!! (who knew that could be so much fun?!) Anyways I had a lot of fun at the practicum and I hope all the kids did also!!

Beach Trip

Hey girls! Its Charlotte here to talk about my trip to the beach with my family! We were there to visit some friends of ours who went to our old church! They have four kids Caroline who is 14 (almost my sister Natalie's age) Grayson 13 (exactly my sisters age) Molly 9 (a year younger than I am) and last but not least Owen 4 (cutest little boy EVER) So we arrived at their lovely house on Friday around 1:30 or 2:00 PM and shortly after that we loaded up and went to the beach for the day! It was a lot of fun! After we came back from the beach we all took showers (most of us got to take one in the outside shower they have) and then we all got to hangout and visit! It was so fun for me because I was a baby when we went to church woth them so I didn't remember then at all but it was very fun to get to know them!! It worked out really well for Natalie too 'cause her and Caroline will be going to camp together in a week or so!! (Sarah Shope will also be joining them at camp) On this trip my brother Wesley and his girlfriend who is also named Caroline  got to come with us which made it even more fun!! Owen, Wesley, Caroline, the other Caroline, Natalie, Grayson, and Molly all went on the trampoline and I got to watch them!! After that we got to cook out hot dogs and steak and vegtables!!! It was SO good!!! While all the parents were talking us kids went down into the bonus room and played just dance and watched a movie!! Then it was time for bed so Natalie slept with Caroline, Wesley slept with Grayson, I slept with Molly and Owen, and Caroline slept on the couch in the bonus room!!! Before we went to sleep Own, Molly and I listend to Adventures and Odessy!! The next morning we woke up and had bagals, and watermelon and other fruits!! It was yummy!! After we finished eating we all got our bathing suits on and headed to the beach!! After awhile we sent my brother and his girlfriend to go and get some sandwhiches! We stayed at the beach almost the whole entire day!! But after awhile we had to go back to there house where we had pizza and YUMMY donuts!!! After dinner we had to pack up all of our stuff, load up and drive home! ): It was sad to have to leave but I am sure we will be seeing them again very soon!!!

Fourth of July celebration

Hey girls! Sarah and Charlotte here to post about our Fourth of July Celebration! Sarah and Lindsey arrived with their family at around 6:00. Our parents were laughing because we immediatly started playing our two favorite card games called kemps and spades! About an hour later we had hot dogs and hamburgers for dinner. It was delicious! After dinner we happily went back to our card games! A little while later we roasted marshmellows and made s'mores! After that we shot beautiful colorful amazing magical fireworks into the dark night sky!!! Along with that we threw magical magnificant miraculous poppers onto the pavement! Then we went inside for some yummy cake!! :P After the Shope parents left all of us girls ( Lindsey, Sarah, Charlotte, and Noodle as Lindsey calls her) went upstairs and goofed off until 1:00AM when things started getting crazy!! So all of us except Natalie decided to go brush our teeth at the same time and we called it our 1:00AM moments! Where we took random videos and pictures of ourselves  it was lots and lots of fun!! Then we decided to head back into our bedroom. When all of a sudden, Phoebe came bounding into the room and attempted to sleep right next to Sarah who slept on an airmattress with Natalie! Eventually she left and decided to go sleep next to Mr. Walker who was sleeping on his bed! It was quite a funny site! Then we all went to bed.

My trip to Virginia

Hey! Charlotte here, Today I am going to talk about my trip to Virginia that I took with my family last week. It was for my Grandma's 80th birthday! My fmily and I stayed at my Aunt Kara's house with my two little cousins. A few days after we had arrived we had all the family go over to my Grandma's for some family pictures. After we finished taking the pictures we went out for a delicious dinner at a seafood place! Then we all went back to my Aunt's house for cake and present's! My mom and two of her sisters surprised her by taking her the next morning for an overnight trip to West Virginia where she grew up and so my sister and brother and two cousins stayed at my Aunt's house while they were gone! We had a lot of fun in Virginia and it was great to see all my cousins Aunts and Uncles!!

Part 1/ Fun days and late nights

Hey everybody! This is Charlotte and today I will be posting about a sleepover that I had with Lindsey, Sarah, My Sister Natalie and I. We spent most of the day hanging out at the pool swimming and trying to ge tan  but it didn't work out so well. We ended up getting freezing cold 'cause we were in and out of the water constantly! Once we finally decided to leave which was about 9PM we ate dinner and ate ice cream! Then we stayed up playing a very fun and entertaining game called Twister! Before we got in bed Sarah Lindsey and I all were brushing our teeth at the same time goofing off and laughing about everything and taking  random videos and pictures of eacother which you will see later in the week! It was from us goofing off in the bathroom that we got the idea to have a blog so then we stayed up late trying to put it together and come up with a name for it! This morning we woke up about 9AM this morning to Sarah and Lindsey's mom squirting them with a squirt bottle telling us it was time to get up and eat breakfast.After we ate breakfast we had to load up in the car to go to a bible bee that Lindsey and Sarah were doing which was a lot of fun to sit in on! (you will hear more deatails on it when we do our next postings!) So that was just a little bit of our sleepover but there is more to come when we do the next poste but until then i hope u enjoyed reading this!
